Paralegal to join Legal team
Central Desert is seeking a paralegal to join our Legal team.
This is a busy and rewarding role providing high-quality administrative support to legal practitioners across a range of matters, with a particular focus on agreement making and the future act provisions of the Native Title Act.
The role, based in our EAst Perth office, involves supporting the legal team through document preparation, file and record management, coordinating meetings, assisting with research, preparing briefs and legal materials, and managing calendars and correspondence.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience providing high-level administrative or paralegal support in a legal or professional services environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, accurate and professional legal documents.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Proven ability to organise workloads, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (intermediate to advanced), with experience in document formatting and version control.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly within a legal practice environment.
- Current and valid driver's licence.
