HR Consultant - Desert Accounting & Business Support
Desert Accounting & Business Support (DABS) is seeking a HR Consultant (full time).
DABS is a not-for-profit organisation based in East Perth providing a comprehensive outsourced Human Resources, Payroll and Accounting service to Indigenous organisations and other organisations providing Native Title services, Indigenous Health and Community services, and Ranger programs in remote WA.
We are seeking someone who is:

• Strongly client focused and capable of delivering accurate, timely and appropriate HR/ER support and advice to DABS and clients including, award and EBA interpretations; pay and conditions queries; staff conflict management; disciplinary matters; dispute resolutions; workers compensation; and performance management processes
As a HR Consultant you are not expected to be a ‘Rocket Scientist’ but we want someone who can effectively:
• Contribute to the ongoing development of new HR systems, policies, and practices for ourselves and our clients and understands good practice HR governance processes!
• Provide efficient and effective Human Resources services for DABS and, or an allocated client portfolio, including:
• Facilitate end to end recruitment and onboarding services including PD review/development, Ads, shortlisting, interviews, utilising and tailoring where necessary contracts of employment
• Assist in the development, implementation and where appropriate, coordination of the induction, probation, performance management and employee exit processes
• Advise and assist clients develop and implement appropriate remuneration strategies
• Ensure pay and conditions are properly aligned with payroll processes for DABS & clients
• Utilise the HRIS – Employment Hero for both DABS & relevant clients in provision of HR services and maintenance of HR records.

What you need to have:
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or Business Management or significant experience in human resources.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a HR / ER generalist, business partnering, or external consultant role providing a broad range of advice and services to clients
• Experience in administration of HR systems including recruitment and performance
• Sound understanding of HR and ER practices and processes
• Demonstrated experience in interpreting Enterprise Agreements, awards, legislation, and relevant employment related regulatory requirements
• Advanced computing skills including the use of Microsoft Office, a HRIS, and or similar information management systems
An understanding of contemporary Indigenous issues is desirable.
