The Committee on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Water Interests (CAWI) is seeking new members from Western Australia, South Australia, and Victoria to join its advisory body.

This initiative is aimed at enhancing advocacy for the inland water rights, values, and interests of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples across Australia.

Who or What is CAWI?

CAWI provides a platform to influence water governance, collaborating with governments and stakeholders at national, state, and territory levels.

CAWI also leads in the development of key pieces of high-level policy analysis and advice.

While Committee members do not represent, speak, or act for any individual nation, organisations, or community groups, CAWI committed membership reflecting the geographic diversity of communities across Australia.

CAWI members do not represent the Australian Government or state or territory governments.
