Grants of up to $50,000 are now available to Aboriginal incorporated not-for-profit organisations to preserve, protect and promote Aboriginal Sites.
Applications must be submitted to the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (DPLH) by noon (12pm) 14 November, 2024.
Grants are available for physical on-the-ground works such as installing fences or signage, removing graffiti, site clean-up and remediation of sites.
Applications will be assessed against the following criteria:
- Sustainable long-term heritage benefits.
- Public benefit and increased awareness of Aboriginal heritage.
- Opportunities and benefits for Aboriginal people and organisations.
- Sound project planning and value for money.
