PBC Coordinator
Central Desert is seeking a PBC Coordinator.
Central Desert has a Client Services team based in East Perth with frequent travel to remote WA to support Prescribed Bodies Corporate clients.
A PBC is the corporate entity established to represent a native title holding group, in all matters relating to native title. The PBC is the first point of contact for government and other parties (for example, mining companies) who wish to talk with the native title holders or undertake activities on native title land.
The role will work closely with the PBC to and support our clients to progress and manage their business. The core function of the role to support the PBC to manage and build their business whilst also providing Secretariat Services. Working within small multidisciplinary teams you will provide governance and organisation support and assist in delivery of meetings for several of the PBCs within the Central Desert region.

To be considered for this position, you will have:
1. Experience working directly with Aboriginal people, particularly in remote communities, and with a high level of cultural competence.
2. Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and continuous improvement.
3. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Sound understanding of Corporate Governance principles.
5. Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clear information to clients and stakeholders.
6. Experience in dealing with sensitive and challenging public enquiries by telephone and face to face, in a courteous and helpful manner.
7. The ability to work effectively and communicate with numerous small teams.
8. Demonstrated self-motivation with initiative.
9. Strong time management skills with an ability to work on multiple projects/meetings simultaneously and meet deadlines.
10. Competence in the use of Microsoft Office applications (including Teams).
11. Ability to travel to regional and remote areas for meetings and projects on a regular basis, with the possibility of occasional travel for periods exceeding 7 days.
12. Current and unrestricted manual driver’s licence.
